shipping & returns

Reroute fee - Orders can be rerouted only within the same state, and the cost is $15. This is done by the shipper (the warehouse), so if a customer reaches out to you, send the reroute request to guild@thewinefoundry.com.

Return fee - If a customer does not find a way to have someone at least 21 years of age to sign for the package, the carrier will send it back to the warehouse with a fee of $15. If the customer would like to have the package held for pickup, they do that themselves using the tracking notification they receive, and if they don't pick it up within 5 business days the package will be returned to the warehouse with the $15 return fee.

Reshipment costs - If the package is returned to the warehouse and needs to be sent out again, there is the $15 return fee as well as the full costs of reshipment incurred.

Availability of our Wine - Due to various state laws, there are some states we cannot ship to. Please reach out to spiritoftheunicornwine@gmail.com for any inquiries.

Age Verification - By placing an order with us you are stating that you are 21 years of age and that the recipient of the order is also 21 years of age. We require our shipping carrier to add the Adult Signature option, resulting in the carrier verifying the age of the recipient when the package is delivered.

Receiving a Shipment - If the recipient of the wine will not be at home during regular business hours, we highly recommend sending the order to a commercial or business address where the package can be received and signed for. Orders containing alcohol cannot be left on a doorstep or sent to a P.O. Box. If no one is available for delivery, two additional attempts will generally be made. If the package is not signed for and received and is subsequently returned to us, there will be an additional shipping charge to resend the package.

Weather Advisory - When wine is subjected to very hot or very cold temperatures during shipping, your purchases may not arrive in the condition you expect. Damage can be avoided or mitigated by choosing expedited shipping methods. It is up to the customer to select periods of moderate temperatures for ordering wine for shipment, or to use expedited or temperature-controlled shipping options to minimize risk of damage from severe temperatures. By purchasing wines, you agree to waive any claims for damage to the wines caused by exposure to damaging temperatures during shipping.

By purchasing our products, the Customer represents that he/she has read, understands, and agrees to all terms and conditions set forth on this website, and that he/she is at least twenty one (21) years old and has the legal ability to engage in a contract in the State of California. If the Customer does not accept all of the terms and conditions set forth within, he/she should not purchase or use our products. It is further understood that these terms are subject to change from time-to-time, in whole or in part, without prior notice.
